PPHI Sindh’s journey started from District Kashmore in 2007 and gradually expanded to 22 districts of Sindh. This responsibility was first handed over to the organization through Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) in 2007 under an MoU with the Government of Sindh (GoS). In 2013, the organization was registered as an independent Non for profit Company under section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984 (repealed by the Companies Act, 2017) which signed a fresh MoU with GoS. Our ‘not for profit’ status has also been recognised by Pakistan Centre of Philanthropist (PCP) which is an Government approved body for recognising Not-for-profit status of organisations. PPHI Sindh is governed by Board of Directors comprising of seven seasoned members with vast and versatile experience
The objective of establishing the organization was to revitalize health services in rural Sindh. The immediate goal was to ensure that health facilities, handed over to PPHI, are fully functional, providing health services to all persons within their reach. A dedicated and competent management team was deployed which embarked with full vigour to achieve this objective.
