Disinfection and decontamination activities are going on with full vigour in different OTP sites in District Thatta after a few positive cases of Coivd-19 surfaced in PPHI District Office and 6 different Health Facilties. In these pictures, BHU Jokhia village, BHU Buhara, BHU Ghulamuallah, BHU Chatto Chand, BHU Gujjo, BHU Dhabeeji OTP site and OPD are being disinfected so that growth and spread of Covid-19 can be arrested. Surfaces and floors are being disinfected on a priority basis. Disinfecting agents were given to DO Thatta by PPHI Sindh. Disinfection is being carried out with 0.5% chlorine as per WHO guidelines and recommendations. This is extremely important for health and safety of staff, patients & attendants who come to this OTP site on a regular basis for work and treatment services respectively. Infection prevention has assumed even more importance this year due to the unfortunate global pandemic situation. PPHI District Office Thatta is taking immense care to ensure that everyone remains safe from this virus.
With international protocols in place, and preventive measures undertaken, it is crucial that nutrition services are continued simultaneously while addressing the Covid-19 crisis. This is especially important for immunocompromised children and PLWs relying on these services to boost their immunity and overall health.
