PPHI Sindh CEO attends key Meeting on Polio Eradication Chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah


PPHI Sindh CEO, Mr. Javed Ali Jagirani attended a high-level meeting on polio eradication held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, with key officials including Provincial Ministers Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho and Mr. Saeed Ghani, Chief Secretary Mr. Asif Haider Shah, and Commissioner Karachi. During the meeting, efforts to eliminate polio were reviewed, with EOC Coordinator Mr. Irshad Ali Sodhar providing a detailed briefing. Dr. Azra Pechuho highlighted that 9.4 million children were vaccinated during recent campaigns but emphasized that the polio virus still exists in the environment, requiring urgent attention. The Chief Minister expressed concern over the 7 polio cases reported in Sindh this year, including cases in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sujawal, and Shikarpur. He directed departments to address operational challenges and ensure every child is vaccinated.
