Chief Minister and Health Minister of Sindh Inaugurate SGD Gareebabad and Launch Polio Campaign
The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, and the Minister of Health and Population Welfare, Sindh, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, inaugurated the Sindh Government Dispensary (SGD) Gareebabad at Aka Khail. This event also marked the initiation of the Polio Campaign, symbolizing the commencement of the campaign across the province. During the ceremony, Mr. Javed Ali Jagirani, CEO of PPHI Sindh, provided an overview of the services offered at the SGD. He highlighted that the SGD is one of the 14 Health Facilities situated in the super high-risk (SHR) UCs of Karachi and was recently handed over to PPHI Sindh for operationalization and service delivery by Health Department, Government of Sindh. The dignitaries expressed their appreciation for the launch of the Health Management Information System (HMIS) and the transition to a paper-free environment. They also acknowledged the provision of nutrition services, Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) services, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services, and other remarkable initiatives undertaken by PPHI Sindh.
