MoU signed between Hepatitis Control Program and PPHI


This is to share that PPHI Sindh has signed an MoU with Hepatitis Control Program, Health Department, Government of Sindh at PPHI Sindh Head Office , Karachi.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Riaz Hussain Rahoojo, COO, PPHI SINDH in presence of Mr. Javed Ali Jagirani, CEO, PPHI SINDH While Dr. Zulfiqar Dharejo, Additional Director CDC II, Hepatitis Control Program Sindh signed the MoU on behalf of Health department, GoS.

As per the MoU, PPHI Sindh will test every 12 years or old person visiting PPHI Sindh's health facilities for Hepatitis B and C. If any of the said patient is found positive, their blood samples will be collected from the respective health facilities and will be sent for PCR testing. The positive patients will be provided free consultation and medication at all 315 designated BHU Plus centres working under PPHI Sindh's management.

PPHI Sindh is proud to be a part of this initiative which will help in averting thousands of deaths caused by Hepatitis B and C.
