Chairman PPP, Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurates Mother and Child Support Programme
In a leading event at CM House today, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari officially inaugurated the Government of Sindh Mother and Child Support Programme. It is being implemented in Tharparkar and Umerkot by Social Protection Strategy Unit at CM Secretariat, with the support of DOH and PPHI. The event was presided by the CM Syed Murad Ali Shah. Madam Minister Dr. Azra graced the event with her visionary thoughts and efforts in improving maternal, newborn & child health in the Province. The programme aims to provide cash support to pregnant & lactating women to overcome economic barriers to uptake of essential MNCH services. This is the first programme that forms a part of the provincial social protection strategy to be implemented in the near future. Thanks to all the thought leaders who attended the event on such short notice.
