A one-day co-design workshop on the Behavioural Activation Project for Mental Health

A one-day co-design workshop was conducted at the Head Office of PPHI Sindh Karachi focusing on the Behavioural Activation Project for Mental Health. The workshop brought together teams from District Tharparkar and Karachi, aiming to collaboratively design an effective implementation pathway for the project.

The core objective of the workshop was to develop strategies for providing mental health counselling sessions to two key vulnerable groups:

Patients with critical illnesses
Pregnant women

Through group discussions, interactive sessions, and collaborative planning exercises, the participants explored how to integrate behavioural activation techniques into the existing healthcare framework. The workshop emphasized community engagement, culturally sensitive counselling approaches, and feasible integration with local health services.

This initiative is a significant step toward improving mental well-being and strengthening mental health support systems within underserved communities in Sindh.
